Bermuda Summer Vacation| July 2021

Vacation time finally arrived after almost 2 years and I had to pinch myself. We headed to the St. Regis Bermuda which is a quick 1.5 hour flight from JFK airport. The steps to get to the island weren't easy, as we had to fill out a travel authorization form proving that we were vaccinated and answer a detailed questionairre which needed to be pre-approved. To add, we had to pass a PCR Covid test 3 days prior to fly, and then test once again upon landing. After completing the process we were ready to enjoy this paradise. The landscape of Bermuda is lush and beautifully aligned with colorful homes on narrow roads. The best parts of our days were being greeted by the extremely friendly locals in the quaint town of St. George's where we stayed. St. George's was settled in 1612 and is the oldest British town in Bermuda. The beaches are crystal blue and some are known for their unique pink sand like Horseshoe Bay Beach. Expect to pay a hefty price for meals and taxis, and for just about everything else as there aren't many budget friendly options here.

This time around we didn't venture out as much because we really wanted to bum around our resort, relax and refresh our minds.

St. George's Homes Are Beautiful

Where We Ate

Wahoo - is a local Bistro in St. George's that is best for a casual meal on the water . They serve the traditional Bermudian dishes such as wahoo nuggets and you can enjoy fresh caught fishes of the island.

BLT Steak House - is an upscale chain restaurant located in the St. Regis hotel. The steak meals are really delicious and very expensive.

1609 Restaurant Hamilton Princess - this was one of my favorites as it's nestled on the water near the Hamilton Princess hotel. The views of boats docking and the ambience is so relaxing. The food was simply delicious and not too expensive. Don't forget to try their Rum Fizzle as it's a perfect summer beverage.
