PORTO PORTUGAL

August ended with a week long vacation in Portugal and it was the most scenic place we've explored in a while.  After a 6 hour red eye flight from JFK we landed in Lisbon and took a 3 hour Uber ride to Porto, Portugal.  The moment we approached Porto, I rolled the windows down to let the fresh river breeze brush my face.  Porto has the prettiest narrow streets aligned with lime stone pavers and buildings covered...

Turks and Caicos (where we vacationed)

As far as best beaches in the world, Turks and Caicos (Grace Bay) is high on the list with its wide, pristine white stretches of sand and calm, crystal clear, pale turquoise water.  It's a small dry island filled with exotic flowers and the scent of grilled seafood and ocean fish in the air.  We chose Seven Stars Resort and Spa for the second time  and the qua...

Edgartown, Massachusetts (where we stayed)

Edgartown is a quaint beach town located on Martha's Vineyard with gorgeous homes meticulously landscaped and aligned on every block.  We strolled around and discovered unique shops that fulfilled our daily walks.  One thing that stood out the most about the island is the many small mom-n-pop businesses and non-existence of chain restaurants or stores (impossible to avoid when you're i...

 Aruba

Aruba is dry, hot and a perpetually sunny island. It is easy to navigate and filled with shopping centers.  Being an extremely tourist-friendly place, more than five languages are spoken (Papimiento being preferred by the locals).  We stayed at the unrivaled Ritz Carlton property and spent our lazy days on Palm Beach which boasts pristine sand and crystal clear shallow water.

Copenhagen, Denmark

Copenhagen is a small, clean city that has a well orchestrated bike culture. The air is cleaner than any city I've visited and it's easy to navigate on foot.  We covered the hottest neighborhoods on the map in 2 days and were able to stop and eat their famous open face sandwiches called (smorrebrod).  The city is also rich in eye candy, as there seemed to be a never ending amount of good looking local...

Tulum Mexico

Beaches are like snowflakes—no two are alike. After a 1.5 hour ride from Cancun we hit the bohemian perfection of Tulum. Exotic jungle plants, the smell of incense, and boutique hotels with Palm Thatch roofs—people bike or walk during the day and don’t let the deep, darkness of the night stop them from enjoying local hot spots.

Where to Eat

Supposedly there are mosquitoes but everyone keeps them away so that only b...

October 8, 2016

It's a rivalry not unlike the Yankees versus the Red Sox. But these New Yorkers enjoyed San Francisco. We pride ourselves on being the world's culinary capital but I have to give props to the City by the Bay. San Francisco's food was diverse and had the advantage of California's unreal weather. The greens had this extra crunch and everything just tasted so clean and pure.

Next up we're going to hit Tulum so expect my Inst...
