November leaves are falling and the air is crisp and unusaully cold in NYC.   With that said, I'm showcasing Alvin Wayne's beautiful 18th century townhome in Brooklyn that he shares with his Partner.   Alvin's 1,088 square foot home is immaculate and touched with midcentury charm. Check out my IGTV NYC Home tour series to see the live video tour @tanika_nyclifestyle.

Holiday season is here and there are so many beautiful new products on the market that can add beauty to our homes. That said, on your marks get set go for the new Scottie facial tissue designed by Genevieve Gorder, interior designer from HGTV's Trading Space.   Tissue boxes are placed in every room in our apartment and we love the newly designed boxes by Genevieve.   Tissue boxes are some of the most used items in o...

Fall foliage in New York is breath taking and the home tour of the season was in the heart of the Hudson Valley with Ginny Stalker from @aupetitsalondesign. Ginny's  17th century barn home sits on 7 acres and is tucked in the woods.  She shares her 2,ooo square foot gem with her son Otis and husband Matt.  Scroll down for photos of her vintage collected home.

Fall season has arrived in New York and revamping every nook and cranny in our apartment was a priority.  One of the most neglected areas in most homes is the refrigerator and I've re-worked the organization of ours with items from the The Container Store.  I cook a few times a week and needed a better view of our most used groceries.   Adding tray liners to each shelf and storage for poultry, fruit, dairy and vegetables revit...

August ended with a week long vacation in Portugal and it was the most scenic place we've explored in a while.  After a 6 hour red eye flight from JFK we landed in Lisbon and took a 3 hour Uber ride to Porto, Portugal.  The moment we approached Porto, I rolled the windows down to let the fresh river breeze brush my face.  Porto has the prettiest narrow streets aligned with lime stone pavers and buildings covered...

It's safe to say most NYC apartments lack sufficient closet space for the average person.  We live in a 958 square foot apartment and there are two small closets in our bedroom.  The challenge for my bedroom closet make over was to find adequate and practical storage for my shoe collection.  The Container Store offered stacks of clear shoe boxes, non-slip velvet hangers, and cedar drawer liners that fit perfectly on my shelves...

As summer is slowly coming to an end, we decided to revamp the look of our foyer.  It is a small space with minimal lighting and appeal so it lacked any visual aesthetic or pop.  We felt adding a patterned wall paper would give the entrance to our home new life.  Partnering with Walls Need Love allowed us to pick the perfect design that fits our decor and lifestyle.

Summer is here and it was time to tackle our sloppy linen closet and organize our travel luggage.  Thanks to the Container Store we're finally re-organizing neglected areas in our apartment and I'm able to pack efficiently and light. Take a peek at the items that guided us on this organization journey.

Summer finally made an appearance in NYC and I kicked it off with a home tour of James Kivior's  pre-war apartment in the heart of Ridgewood, Queens that he shares with his cats Otis and Faisca.  Walking through his apartment was jaw dropping as his home is well curated and filled with years of collected treasures.
